ITT (Improve Thyroid Treatment) have set up a campaign to fight for better treatment for thyroid patients Many are being failed by outdated protocol, poor understanding, diagnosis and treatment. Now, many are being denied good health as the NHS propose to remove an effective medication called LIothyronine (T3) from prescription. This is due to costs. The NHS say there are cheaper alternatives, there is not. The only other medication offered is Levothyroxine T4. T4 is an inactive 'pro hormone', it has to convert to the active hormone, T3, needed by every cell in the body. Some people cannot convert T4 to T3. Many have tried to make T4 work, often for years and decades, only becoming more an more ill. We need to keep T3 as an option. wedding bridal collection in blue
